     The November Holy Post was the last printed monthly newsletter. As a means of good stewardship of our treasure, the council has approved the distribution of a weekly E-Post.

Prayer Petitions and concerns - God exhorts us to pray for people in need. Please contact the church office to place a loved one or friend on our prayer list.

Christian Education 

All are invited to join us as we journey through God's word


Sunday Lectionary Study is offered Sunday morning from 9 - 9:50 AM. 
Bi-weekly Bible Study - Wednesday afternoons at 1 PM following Food Pantry distribution. This in-depth study is open for all in the community.

The Christian Education and Evangelism committees will meet together on the first Monday of each month (except July) at 6 PM.  There will be no meeting in July. If you have any questions, please speak with Linda Bacon or Denise Casper. Please feel welcome to join the group and lend your time and talent to the growth of the ministry of Atonement. 

Growing Together! During the Easter season, various leaders of the congregation will be hosting brief topical conversations after worship to help us grow together as disciples, stewards, and leaders! Please join us after worship for about half an hour of conversation every Sunday in Easter

      The June Congregation Meeting of Programs and Elections

is scheduled for Sunday, June 11 following the 10 AM worship service.

At this meeting a bulletin of reports from each of the standing committees is available for the congregation to review and election for new council members is taken.   Anyone interested in serving as a council member is asked to speak with Todd Luttman. 

What is required of a council member?   Consistent worship attendance; be open to hear the joys or concerns of the congregation and share them at the meetings; attendance at the monthly meetings; Enjoy your position as a congregational leader in the service of Jesus Christ.

Memorial Day Barbecue 

WELCA will be hosting a BBQ for Luther Haven and in need of donations. Please contact Diane Brockel or Victoria Raynor, via email, if you would be able to contribute BBQ foods, (i.e. hamburger patties, hot dogs, rolls, potato & macaroni salads, watermelon, chips, desserts) or monetary donation toward the cost. Thank you for your support.

WELCA’s next meeting will be at a Pot Luck Dinner on the porch at Nancy Flanigan’s house on Tuesday, June 13th at 6 pm. 

 Please let Nancy know what you will be bringing.

Pentecost Geraniums


The Altar Guild will be taking orders for Pentecost Geraniums through May 28th. Cost is $5.00 each.  Please consider purchasing a geranium or two in honor or in memory of a loved one. Donations to the flower fund in lieu of flowers is gratefully appreciated.


Please email the church office with the number of geraniums you wish to order and the dedication. Your donation can be send independently to the church or bring it to worship and leave it in the offering plate. If you have any questions, please contact Judy Busacca or contact the church office.  Thank you for your support.

The Greater Shore Concert Band

has begun rehearsals for their Carnegie Hall Celebration Concert on May 20, 2017.  We are very excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity.  To read some of the band member’s personal stories, click HERE.  We hope that many of you will be able to attend our concert at Carnegie Hall.  Tickets go on sale March 1.  The band is offering charter buses that will provide transportation from Monmouth County to NYC and back for $27 round trip per person.  For details follow this link We’d love to see you in NYC.   Additional Greater Shore Concert Band web pages:  http://greatershoreconcertband.org   [email protected]

Worship times are Sunday evenings 5:15 - 7:15 PM and Thursday evenings from 7 - 9 PM and a Music/Dance rehearsal on Friday evenings 7 - 9 PM.

GREATER LOVE MINISTRY   GLM is a ministry founded on the word of God, committed to following in sound biblical prinicples. The vision of GLM is to teach, train, and impart into the community of Asbury Park and the greater shore area. The ministry is a place where people of all colors, creeds, and nationalities can come together and worship the Living Savior, who is Jesus Christ,the son of the Living God.Our mission is to make sure we are the voice and the hand that encourages people to change their lives with hope, comfort, and peace - Isaiah 51:3

Greater Love Ministry meets Sunday afternoons from 2:30 - 5 PM and Tuesday evenings 7 - 9 PM in the Parish Hall.

Recovery support groups meeting at Atonement:

AA - A Design for Living - open speaker meeting Wednesday evenings from 7 - 8:15 PM

AA - Asbury Park/Neptune Saturday Morning Group - open speaker meeting Saturday mornings from 10 - 11:30 AM

AA - Conscious Contact North - Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:15PM. Ocean Grove open meditation meeting.  When weather permits, the group will meet at the beach.

Open speaker and discussion meetings are open to all, please feel welcome to attend.

Narcotic Anonymous - closed meeting -  Tuesday afternoon  4:30 - 6 PM
