     The November Holy Post was the last printed monthly newsletter. As a means of good stewardship of our treasure, the council has approved the distribution of a weekly E-Post.

     This E-Post includes a timely message from the pastor, worship leader reminders, announcement of events and a 2 week calendar of events scheduled.

Prayer Petitions and concerns - God exhorts us to pray for people in need. Please contact the church office to place a loved one or friend on our prayer list.

Christian Education

Students of ALL ages are welcome!

Sunday Church School is offered to children ages 3 through grade 5

                   from 9 - 9:50 AM.

Sunday Lectionary Study is offered to all adults, including high school                            students and confirmed  youth, Sunday morning from 9 - 9:50 AM. 
Bi-weekly Bible Study - Wednesday afternoons at 1 PM following Food
        Pantry distribution. This in
-depth study is open for all in the community.

Season of Lent

The season and discipline of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 1.  A full service including the distribution of ashes and Holy Communion will be held at 7 PM.  Private individual confession and forgiveness is available between 2 - 5 PM on Ash Wednesday and from 3 - 6 PM for the remaining Wednesday’s during Lent. Please join us for the beginning of this season.


Preparation for Ash Wednesday 

Sunday, February 26, after the Worship and Music meeting, we will burn the palms from last year to make ashes for this coming Ash Wednesday, March 1.  All are welcome to help out or to be present and participate in this ritual burning of the palms! Please bring any palms you may have from last year to the church.


Lenten Mid Week worship

All are welcome to join us Wednesday evenings during Lent for a light meal followed with study. The topic of study this season is  Luther’s Small Catechism in our daily life. We invite you to come when you can, and leave when you must. If your work schedule doesn’t allow you to come for worship, come for the study, but please plan to come as often as you can.

The Greater Shore Concert Band

has begun rehearsals for their Carnegie Hall Celebration Concert on May 20, 2017.  We are very excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity.  To read some of the band member’s personal stories, click HERE.  We hope that many of you will be able to attend our concert at Carnegie Hall.  Tickets go on sale March 1.  The band is offering charter buses that will provide transportation from Monmouth County to NYC and back for $27 round trip per person.  For details follow this link We’d love to see you in NYC.   Additional Greater Shore Concert Band web pages:  http://greatershoreconcertband.org   greatershoreconcertband@yahoo.com

AVP Conflict Resolution Workshop
Trinity Church, 503 Asbury Ave., AP is offering workshop the weekend of February 24 - 26 to learn how to bring peace to your family, school and community. A voluntary donation of $50 suggested to cover materials, lunch, and snacks; however, no one will be turned away for inability to pay. Registration deadline is Feb. 22. Worship times are Sunday evenings 5:15 - 7:15 PM and Thursday evenings from 7 - 9 PM and a Music/Dance rehearsal on Friday evenings 7 - 9 PM.

GREATER LOVE MINISTRY   GLM is a ministry founded on the word of God, committed to following in sound biblical prinicples. The vision of GLM is to teach, train, and impart into the community of Asbury Park and the greater shore area. The ministry is a place where people of all colors, creeds, and nationalities can come together and worship the Living Savior, who is Jesus Christ,the son of the Living God.Our mission is to make sure we are the voice and the hand that encourages people to change their lives with hope, comfort, and peace - Isaiah 51:3

Greater Love Ministry meets Sunday afternoons from 2:30 - 5 PM and Tuesday evenings 7 - 9 PM in the Parish Hall.
